SKETCHING

Remember to keep working on your pencil sketch of the icon. It is good practice! Please note, however, that it is important to start an icon with an excellent sketch. For this reason, Fr. Anthony will provide you with a finished sketch to use in class. You may use your practice sketch or use the one provided.

A note about church services…

The Chant Academy has an incredibly full schedule of worship all week as part of their study and practice. The Iconography Academy has set its schedule so the you will have enough time to finish your icon. Along with daily matins beginning at 7:00 am and vespers, there are liturgies during the week as part of the Chant Academy. The worship and chanting is beautiful and you can decide how much you will attend and how much time you need in the workshop. On Monday and Tuesday mornings, Fr. Anthony will attend only matins and not stay for the liturgy. He will go to the workshop to begin class instruction since there is much to do.
